Growing Together
Rocktown Soccer Club offers advanced soccer programming for players in the U8 to U12 age groups in Harrisonburg and Rockingham County. The club’s programming provides essential training for youth soccer players seeking to play at higher levels of the game, as well as those simply playing for the love of the game. The club seeks to be a vital part of the local community and values player enjoyment and engagement as cornerstones of program offerings. Instruction is designed to develop players by learning fundamentally sound techniques and training habits while fostering a healthy competitive mentality.

U10 & U12 Challenge Program
Players in the U10 and U12 age groups will be organized into teams to compete in the Challenge program provided by the Virginia Soccer Alliance. Players must be selected for this program and are expected to compete at an advanced level of play relative to these age groups. These teams compete in a league with similar level teams from the Augusta County, Rockbridge County, Charlottesville and Albemarle County areas.
Teams train twice per week as a team and play 8 to 10 matches per season. Players commit to participate for a full year (Spring and Fall season). Full participation in team events is expected.
The fees of the program are $219 for the fall season (uniform included). The spring payment is $169.

Winter Futsal Clinic
The program runs on 7 Sundays – January 7, 14, 21, 28, February 4, 11, 18
The time is 3pm-5pm each Sunday.
U7-U10 (Birth Years 2017 thru 2014): 3:00-4:00pm
U11-U14 (Birth Years 2013 thru 2010): 4:00-5:00pm
The location is the EMU Athletic Center: Multi Use Courts 1 & 2.
The cost is $90 per player.
Registration deadline is December 15.
What is Futsal? – Futsal is the official indoor soccer format worldwide endorsed by FIFA, the world soccer governing body. Futsal is played on basketball-sized courts with a low-bounce soccer ball with 4 field players and a goalkeeper. Futsal is a fast-paced game with subbing on the fly. Futsal is an ideal format for both technical and tactical player development.
What will the program look like each day? – Players will start with a fun arrival game followed by technical work with a ball. The session will build to a small sided game played to learn and conclude with a competitive Futsal match.

US Soccer organizes youth players in age groups that are determined by the year the player was born. Age groups are used to ensure appropriate rules of play and developmental principles are adhered to.
